Serve Groups

Hospitality

Our Hospitality Team is an important ministry and is made up of exceptional people. They greet people as they arrive at church and help guests through the VIP process. They guide guests to their desired location, answer guests’ questions, and help guests feel welcome. In addition, our Hospitality Team makes sure the lobby, front restrooms, and mother’s room are maintained during service and collects the offering at the assigned door.

A-Team Room

Our “A-Team” encompasses anyone who serves here at HOP. If you are a part of the A-Team Room attendants, you would ensure that the A-Team room is a welcoming and clean environment for church services and special events by preparing food, cleaning, and keeping supplies stocked. The A-Team room is where volunteers go on a Sunday to catch a quick snack and a drink while taking a brief break until they serve again. Appreciation and encouragement are the two key elements this team displays to everyone volunteering that day.

Parking Team

Our Parking Team welcomes guests as they drive into the HOP parking lot, identifies first-time guests, brings them to the lobby, and introduces them to our hospitality team. Additionally, they may operate a golf cart driving guests to the front entrance, escort guests with umbrellas during inclement weather, direct traffic, monitor handicap spots and assist the elderly & parents with children in and out of their vehicles. From the moment a guest drives onto our campus, the parking team is the first to bring the love of Jesus to those attending service. We make our smiles infectious and our welcome warm.

Widows Ministry

Welcome to our Widow's Ministry at House of Prayer, where we embrace and support the widows in our community with love, compassion, and shared experiences. Inspired by the timeless words of James 1:27, which reminds us to “look after orphans and widows in their distress," our ministry is dedicated to living out this principle in a tangible and heartfelt manner.

Following this scriptural calling, our Widow's Ministry organizes regular outings and gatherings for widows to come together, share in fellowship, and find solace in the company of like-minded individuals who understand the unique journey of widowhood. These outings are not just recreation opportunities but also serve as moments of healing, encouragement, and spiritual growth.

At Houe of Prayer, we believe in fostering a community that extends beyond the walls of our church building. The Widow's Ministry exemplifies this commitment by creating a supportive network where widows can build lasting friendships, find comfort in shared stories, and participate in activities that bring joy and fulfillment to their lives.

Chosen Colonels

Chosen Colonels is a Young Adult Ministry based on the NSU campus and is for college students or young adults 18-25 years of age.

Being a member of Chosen Colonels does not require you to be a Nicholl’s Student.

Chosen Colonels exists to connect people to Jesus and each other because we each have a purpose. We are a community of students who love Jesus and who want to share the love of Jesus with the world. We strive to provide opportunities on campus for students to worship and experience Jesus.
