COMMUNITY GROUPS

Why Community Groups Exist?

Community Groups (C-Groups) have one, simple purpose - to bring people together, connecting them with Jesus and each other.  We were not created to “do” life alone.  God created us for community, and C-groups provide a gathering place to connect with others, share life, and grow in faith together.  We believe life changes happen in the context of relationships.

 What is a Community Group?

Community Groups are groups of people who desire to grow in their walk with God and do life with other believers. Community Groups will encourage and equip members to find their God-given potential and purpose.

Why should you join a Community Group?

We gather in small groups to build community and care for people.  Our goal is to reach as many people as possible with the life-giving message of Jesus.

When and Where?

C-Groups meet in the Fall, Spring, and summer. They meet in various places, such as homes, parks, restaurants, coffee shops, and office buildings. Three types of groups meet: Study Groups, Interest Groups, and Serve Groups.

  • Study Groups follow a HOP curriculum. While studying the Word of God, you will grow in your walk with God and develop great friendships.

  • Interest Groups are based upon just that. Basketball, Fishing, Prayer Walking, Cooking, etc.… groups will meet with a weekly prayer and devotion followed by the interest of the group activities.

  • Serve Groups meet weekly/biweekly/monthly and serve at House of Prayer Church. There are amazing ways to serve The House. Each serve group meets for prayer, group devotions and serve together as a team. While creating lifelong friendships, God will begin to reveal to you, your purpose in the Kingdom of God. This is a wonderful way to give back your gifts and talents to the Lord while blessing others.
