Lead Pastor Josh & Keesha Melancon

In 2014, Joshua became the Lead Pastor. He and his wife, Keesha, have a passion to see God continue to build His church and bring life changing experiences to every family through the empowering of God’s Spirit and following Biblical principles. Pastor Josh’s vision for House of Prayer is to connect all people to Jesus and to each other. He believes God has called us to build a church in and around the city of Thibodaux that will affect the entire state of Louisiana and eventually the world.

Campus Pastor Daniel & Lacey LeCompte

Daniel assumed the role of Campus Pastor in July of 2022, alongside his wife, Lacey. Together, they believe that God has a purposeful plan for the Bayou region. They aim to see individuals experience healing, wholeness, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Daniel’s vision for House of Prayer Larose is to create a place where individuals encounter Jesus' presence, find a supportive and loving community, and walk in the unique purpose that God has specifically designed for their lives.

We are thrilled to welcome you to House of Prayer Church!

Next Step

God has an incredible plan and purpose for your life; Next Step is designed to help you connect to that purpose. It is a series of four classes designed to help you connect to Jesus, connect to the body of Christ (the church), and connect to your purpose. At our Larose Campus, our Next Step Classes meet on Sundays 20 minutes after service in our Next Step Room, with the exception of June & December. Childcare is not provided. Each class builds upon the previous class. House of Prayer Next Step guides you to discover your redemptive purpose and live the life God created for you. It is the goal of House of Prayer Church to equip you to follow Jesus, connect to the church, discover your purpose, and serve others.

Community Groups

Community Groups (C-Groups) have one simple purpose - to bring people together, connecting them with Jesus and each other. We were not created to “do” life alone. God created us for community, and C-groups provide a gathering place to connect with others, share life, and grow in faith together. We believe life changes happen in the context of relationships.
